Chicago- Let it Snow, let it Snow, let it snow: Saturday 21/2/26

 Saturday 21/2/26.

Today was a pretty ordinary travel da with an early start to get to the airport and then a long wait for our flight as we had arrived far too early.  So early in fact that we were offered an earlier flight and it was recommended given the imminent snow that was forecast.  In fact, blizzards were forecast over the next couple of days which would close the airport and flights. We decided to wait and closely watched the weather.

Our first premium economy in a while. Very old basic plane with delays and took forever...

We eventually arrived and were so tired we had a late lunch in the hotel and rested.

 After dinner, still in the hotel, and what an expensive meal it was.

The restaurant had famous Chicago people on the walls, from Mafia guys to entertainers. Recognise these guys?

And then while checking the weather for tomorrow, we saw snow now!!!. I raced outside and was snowed on. I took a video but cannot add it unfortunately.

We will do more exploring tomorrow, meet up with Mike, go to  basketball game and maybe have a snow fight......
