And so our adventure begins.
Paul and I are going to the US of A to see the Eagles on their last (gotta be, one has already died) American tour. While in Vegas we are going to see the Newcastle Knights play a game. Apparently quite a few Novocastrians are going. Should be fun.
But before Vegas we are going to New York and Chicago to see the sights. They have had an Arctic bomb bringing very cold weather with ice and snow. It was looking like we were going to spend all our time indoors but there has been a big improvement in the last few days.
Great that we have really really warm and heavy clothing with us. You should see our bags. We look like we are going permanently....
OK so we have arrived at the airport and been assigned my wheelchair and driver. I do have my first helpful hint for fellow airport wheelchair users. (Note: not a complaint)
Because i didn't walk through the body scanner, I got body searched, patted down and pretty much violated in front of other passengers. NEVER AGAIN. I say get out of your wheelchair and @#$% walk through the scanner.
The New Zealand lounge which Air Nippon uses was pretty nice though i did have to ask for gluten free as nothing labelled.
Oh well here we go again. I have been on this train before. I am doing it for all the coeliacs out there, too afraid to eat anything. Let's see what the flight and the US of A brings/delivers/ feeds me.
