New York New York : Tues 17/2

First day in New York and we have no plan other than finding Time Square and maybe booking some Broadway shows cheaply.  New York and this whole experience is surreal. Just like in the movies!!  Snow on the sidewalk (not a footpath), NYPD car sped right past us and the people OMG.

To start our day, a quick walk up 5th avenue, to find Broadway. This is so great!! We wanted to see Times Square and i think we found it but it has become very confusing. Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, etc etc.  This is usually where I can navigate (as Paul cannot ever) but i am becoming very confused with directions.  Otherwise it is really simple: Avenues are numbered across and streets are numbered numerically down with east and west attached. IE we are staying at the Sofitel which is in West 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenue.  Soooooo @##% simple.

My first fountain. You know i love a fountain.

We found a Mediterranean restaurant where I think i received a mostly gluten blood free meal.

After a nice rest, we went to the Rockefeller Centre to go to the top of the Rock and see the view at night.  Was it worthwhile?

New York is pretty special at night.  Really enjoying this so far and not starving so all good.

Just for your info, this creme brulee is only my second dessert. Paul does not think that is a thing after 2-3 days but i feel it is significant.

Tomorrow we are doing a proper tour of the city so guaranteed not to get lost and actually see what we think we are seeing. Fingers crossed!
